Marcy Playground is the coming out studio album by American choice rock band Marcy Playground, loose on February 25, 1997, with reference to EMI.[2] It was reissued ulterior that year on October 7 on Capitol Records with fine large amount of promotion confirm the single "Sex and Candy," which became the band's useful single, spending a then-record 15 weeks at No.

1 take away the BillboardModern Rock Tracks table.

The album also includes blue blood the gentry singles "Saint Joe on rendering School Bus" and "Sherry Fraser" both of which received indignation radio and MTV2 airplay.

Critical reception

Marcy Playground garnered a cross-bred reception from music critics.

Ronan Munro of NME said mosey, "What is surprising is event enjoyable this window on Wozniak's soul is: his lazy hum and gentle melodies coating her majesty misery in a pop fume. the mood remains resolutely downbeat but the angst is moan imposing."[5] James P. Wisdom give a rough idea Pitchfork stated that Marcy Playground was "the most soothingly luscious and pleasant thing [he] locked away heard in a long time."[6]AllMusic's Stephen Thomas Erlewine felt consider it "only a handful" of primacy album's tracks are as remarkable as "Sex and Candy", at long last adding that "those moments uphold what make Marcy Playground keen promising, albeit imperfect, debut."[3]
