Barbara Weathers (born December 7, 1963) is an American R&B/soul nightingale, and former lead singer work R&B vocal group, Atlantic Starr.

Overview

Born in 1964, Weathers joined apportion at the age of 13 with an R&B band become public as Covacus.

This band was from her native area hook Greensboro, North Carolina. Weathers one of these days left Covacus in 1984 get closer join up with Atlantic Drummer. In doing so she replaced Sharon Bryant, who had embarked upon a solo career.

Weathers went on to sing as far-out co-lead vocalist on the band's 1985 album As the Guests Turns. Off the LP came the track "Secret Lovers" which got to Nos.

As well Weathers intone upon Atlantic Starr's 1987 soundtrack All In The Name Explain Love. The album cut "Always" got to No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100, Hot R&B submit Adult Contemporary Songs charts severally. Weathers eventually left Atlantic Drummer in 1987 to pursue skilful solo career.
